I spent four summers on the leadership team of a national collaborative reporting project, Carnegie-Knight News21 at Arizona State University. As the multimedia and design editor, I wore many hats. I crafted new branding along with accompanying graphic elements and a unique UX design for each project. I mentored young journalists and guided the creation of podcasts, data visualizations and video content, including long-form documentary films and animated explainer videos. I also acted as project manager, ensuring that every piece of content was finished on time and presented thoughtfully. These projects have won several national awards, including two consecutive Robert F. Kennedy Journalism awards, two Edward R. Murrow awards and Online News Association awards.
